The Hendren Family- A Belen, New Mexico Portrait Session

I had the pleasure of working with the Hendren family this past August, and I had an absolute blast with them!

I originally met Heather and her daughter when they joined my Girl Scout troop several years ago, and we've been friends ever since. I've had the blessing of watching Heather and Jon's children grow from young ones to the amazing teen and pre-teen that they are now.

We started their family shoot in the yard of the family home, and we were all lucky to have not been eaten alive by the mosquitoes! I think that at one point, I looked down at my leg, and there were about 50 of them there... Anyway, despite the swarm, we got some great photos!

We finished up in the historic district of Belen. There are some amazing old buildings down there! It was the first time that I'd gotten to use that particular location, and I don't think I could have picked a better family to enjoy it with!
