Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
I am located in Los Lunas, New Mexico, but I LOVE to travel.
What final products do you provide?
I provide digital files, as well as prints in traditional sizes, gallery-wrapped canvases, and albums.
When are you available?
For family, children, seniors, newborn, and maternity sessions, I am available most evenings and weekends. Please make inquiries about weddings only after you have selected your date.
Do you require a retainer fee?
Yes, I require a retainer fee for both weddings, events, and other sessions. The amount of the retainer fee depends on the type of booking, and is applied toward your total balance due.
How can I reach you?
You can contact me through my Contacts page, or on Facebook, or at 505-414-4973.
What should I expect once I book a session?
Once you book a session with me, we will select a place to shoot your photos, and meet there. We'll have an amazing time! The children will have fun, and you'll feel comfortable as well. I like to chat with my clients and get to know them beforehand, so we'll be able to visit during your session. Afterward, you'll be able to go home and relax knowing that in about a week, you'll get to see your amazing photos. Once I'm done editing them, I'll upload the final photos into my gallery system and email you a link so that you can view them and share them with friends and family. Once you order through your gallery, I'll submit the order to my professional print lab, and we'll anxiously wait for them to come in. Once they do, I'll meet you one last time to deliver them!
What should I expect once I book a wedding?
Once you book a wedding, we'll stay in touch throughout your engagement. I'll occasionally send email tips, and ask you to send me your wedding Pinterest board, so that I can look it over. We'll meet two weeks before your wedding date to go over the final time line and so that I can collect your balance due. I'll also ask for a list of names and their relationships to you as a couple so that I can call for Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob. Then, I'll attend your wedding rehearsal so that I can get a feel of the ceremony and space, and so that I can meet all the important players in your wedding. This will help me prepare for the next day, so that your photos are the best they can be. After your wedding is over, you can leave for your honeymoon knowing that your memories are secure. I'll head home and begin editing your photos and designing your album(s). A few weeks after the big day, you'll receive an email link to your online gallery where you can order any products you'd like to have, as well as download your digital images. Once you've ordered, I'll submit the order to my professional print lab, and we'll anxiously wait for your products to arrive. Once they do, I'll meet you one last time to deliver them!
Do you store/archive my photos?
Yes, I do archive and store your photos! I store them on external hard drives that are backed up in several ways. I do charge an UN-archiving fee if more than six months has passed since the session date in question.
Do you carry business insurance?
Yes, I do. If your wedding venue needs a copy of my liability insurance, I can provide them with a personalized copy.
How long have you been photographing/a photographer?
Photography is something that I've loved my entire life. My mom tells the story of how I got my first camera with it's 110 film for my fifth birthday. Taking beautiful photos is something I've always loved doing. I'm self-taught, and constantly learning new tips, tricks, techniques, and editing skills so that I can photograph your story in the best way possible. I started my business on June 6th, 2014.
Do you shoot film or digital?
Actually, I do both! I mainly shoot digital, as it provides me the ability to edit and send you your photos faster, but I am slowly working to add film to my repertoire. It appeals to me because I feel like I'm connected to the bigger story of photography, and it's role in history when I do shoot with my film camera.
Are you LGBT friendly?
Yes. I believe that everyone should be served equally.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Depending on the type of services you're looking for, we can work out a payment plan that will fit your needs, however all balances must be paid in full by the date of the session or event.
