The Strickland Family- An Albuquerque, New Mexico Maternity Portrait Session

It was truly a surprise when Brittney sent me a message saying that she was pregnant with twins and wanted me to shoot her maternity photos, but I couldn't have been happier for her, Justin, and their older daughter Rayleigh.

This sweet family moved to Albuquerque a few years ago with the Air Force, and I had the pleasure of meeting them about a year ago. For this particular session, they were looking for a 'New Mexican' location, as these photos were also for their Christmas Cards, and they may be transferred soon.

We settled on using an area of Albuquerque known as Old Town. This is supposedly where the City of Albuquerque was founded well over 400 years ago. Many of the buildings that house restaurants and stores are well over 100 years old. The style of the buildings certainly fits the bill as having a truly 'New Mexican' look.

Despite the rain we were blessed with, we had a lot of fun, and were able to capture some great photos of this growing family, and this particularly radiant momma-to-be.

I want to wish the Strickland Family the very best in their future, and I hope that Ms. Brittney has a safe and healthy delivery of their two newest family members.
